Delwyn Ogilvy
EVENTING – LEVEL 2
MEET DELWYN
Del Ogilvy is well known throughout the Eventing community and her professional riding/coaching career spans over 5 decades. Del has represented Australia in eventing in the UK and was first reserve rider for the Gold medal winning Australian eventing team at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
Del has produced numerous horses to top level and continues to compete up to 4* proving age is no barrier. Del is an EA Level 2 eventing specialist coach and teaches riders of all levels from grass roots to top level and has coached several riders who have gone on to represent Australia at Olympic level. Del is passionate about the next generation of riders and enjoys nothing more than watching riders of all ages grow and improve whilst enjoying their sport.
Del fosters the philosophy of “it’s not about the results, it’s about the journey you and your horse have together”. She teaches about the biomedical movements of the horse through to mental guidance of the rider.
Del is always the first to lend a hand and has been seen to help other people who do not have lessons with her. She has a love of the sport and correct technique always shows she won’t walk past someone struggling, including lending a hand to fellow instructors.
Del is known as a great role model and for her absolute love of horses.

- Level of competition – state, national and/or international
- Contribution to the wider coaching community within their sport - mentoring, etc.

- invalid or incorrect membership numbers
