JASON DINS
INTRODUCTORY
MEET JASON
Jason Dins runs Jason Dins Dressage out of a property at Kyneton. He coaches dressage in the form of clinics, private lessons, training dressage horses, breaking in horses and competing clients’ horses as well as his own. He prides himself on his work ethic and ensuring his lessons are full of energy.
He has an amazing rapport with his students, particularly the younger demographic. Young up and coming riders such as Indi Officer and Lamoza Velisha have had great success under Jason’s mentoring and coaching. Indi was extremely successful at the Victorian Interschool State Championships, winning the Nan McArthur Award along with the Senior Preliminary Championship and Medium Freestyle.
Other wins include the Medium Championship In the Victorian Youth Dressage Championships, Reserve Champion in the Novice Championship and she was Reserve Champion in the Medium Championship. Jason has taken her from Prelim/Novice to small tour FEI and training GP. Jason also competed in the 2021 Dressage with the Stars 5 yo class placing 7th in the Championship. Lamoza won the National Interschool CT80 under Jason’s guidance and has placed at state and national level at interschool for 7 years.
Jason coaches a wide variety of students – mostly EV Interschool and EV Open competitors. He is known for his patience, energy, knowledge, skills, perception of what his students are capable of and ability to keep his students safe whilst they develop riding skills. He has experience with foals, breaking in young horses and training GP horses. He uses this vast array of skills and knowledge in his lessons and encourages development whilst also reminding students to ‘enjoy the ride’.
