Alfred Parsons

Alf has given a lifetime to the Australian Jumping and wider equestrian community.
Alf has been a sought after professional course builder from grass roots through to our highest level of Grand Prix and World Cup jumping.

He’s been a true leader in the sport, always willing to take a back seat to support others in the interests of the job being done well and providing the opportunity for others to learn. Alf continues his work to this day with our grass roots riders.

Alf has built at World Cup shows for many years including Sale, Wodonga, and Melbourne Royal and has written and contributed to books on jumping and its history in Australia.

Alf has mentored many of our builders past and present, and added significantly to rider development at all levels.

JUDGING CRITERIA

In considering the award of Lifetime Service an individual should have demonstrated significant, sustained and high quality service contributing to the improvement, quality and accessibility of equestrian sport, Consideration should be given to the following:

  • Length of involvement in the sport
  • Initiatives developed or involved in which contributed to the enhancement of the sport
  • Significant mentoring to share knowledge
  • Time volunteering
  • Demonstrated approachability and integrity
VOTING ELIGIBILITY

You must have been a financial member during the 2020 membership year to be eligible to cast a vote. You are only able to submit ONE voting form per category. The following will be deemed void and will be removed:

 

  • duplicate votes in a category by the same member
  • unfinancial members (as per time period above)
  • invalid or incorrect membership numbers
