Angela Dobbin
MEET ANGELA

Angela is a rider and coach full time, runs Glenwood Park with her husband Brook, and works with all types of horses, including racehorses and show jumpers, with a team of normally 9-12 at shows. She grew up in Sydney and was a committee member for the Australian Show Jumping championships for 6 years. She was also on the Committee of the Victorian State Titles and on the YVJC Committee some time ago. When she isn’t competing or working for the Glenwood Park horses she’s always willing to help build courses and pick up rails, etc. at any show.

Angela has taught at both Pony Club and Adult Riding Club and enjoys teaching both beginners and schooled show jump riders.

She loves teaching her daughter and working her horses so she can compete to the best of her ability. Ange breaks in and re-educates horses for multiple disciplines whilst also competing to a high level herself. When on the Australian Show jumping Championships Committee she and Brook also competed 9 horses whilst working at the show.

JUDGING CRITERIA

In considering the award of Lifetime Service an individual should have demonstrated significant, sustained and high quality service contributing to the improvement, quality and accessibility of equestrian sport, Consideration should be given to the following:

  • Length of involvement in the sport
  • Initiatives developed or involved in which contributed to the enhancement of the sport
  • Significant mentoring to share knowledge
  • Time volunteering
  • Demonstrated approachability and integrity
VOTING ELIGIBILITY

You must have been a financial member during the 2020 membership year to be eligible to cast a vote. You are only able to submit ONE voting form per category. The following will be deemed void and will be removed:

 

  • duplicate votes in a category by the same member
  • unfinancial members (as per time period above)
  • invalid or incorrect membership numbers
